Wipeout copied Japanese TV show???

TBS , a Japanese Tv Station, sued the American TV station
that made "wipeout" for compensation of damage. TBS says
wipeout is too similar to Fuun Takeshi castle and
Sasuke which are famous Japanese TV shows. "Fuun Takeshi
Castle and Sasuke have already been broadcasted in
America by America stations that gained the copyrights.

ummm what do you think about that?
Because I have never watched "Wipeout'.I have no idea
about this issue.But did they really copy "Sasuke"?
It was an interesting TV show
but It was cancelled because some people got injured
while playing the game. I hope the American tv show
won't be cancelled because of the same reason.
