Hikaru Utada Start her Carrer in America Again

Hikaru Utada released her 2nd album in America as "Utada"
The album has been in the 2nd place of Pop music ranking
and in the 19th place as a whole.
Both ranks are the best rank in each category as a Japanese singer.
Utada is in the middle of promotion for her Album in America now.

Japan Won World Baseball Classic! 1

I have been super busy. So I haven't been able to upload new
entries. And Japan baseball national team won World Baseball
Classic while I was busy!! I really wanted to write the entry
about this! I will tell you the response of Japanese people to
the event!

Well, first I have to write about Tatsunori Hara , who is the
manager of Japan National Team.
He was not the man who was going to be the manger of the
team. First, Senichi Hoshino was goign to be the manager of
the team. He was the manger of Japan baseball National team
for Beijing Olympic 2008. And he exposed his impotent.
Japan finished the Olympic without achieving a medal.

The board of Japan Baseball Association had hard time choosing
the manager of Japan national team for WBC 2009.

Some officers of the association pushed Senichi Hoshino again.
But Public opinion was different and the most important player
of Japan,Ichiro , announced "If some people think WBC is the
opportunity to revenge for Beijing Olympic, I will have to think
over if I join the team" His comment influenced the board and
They chose Tatsunori Hara, who is the manager of the most famous
Japanese baseball team " Yomiuri Giants".

X JAPAN is in Crisis Again...

The Japanese legendary rock band , X JAPAN, is in Crisis of
disbanding. They were going to have an concert in Korean in this
month and Japan in May. But The concert in Korea was put off
and the sell of the tickets of the concert in Japan was put off too.
"The reason of this problem is caused by Heath" say insiders.
It seems like he asked the label to cancel the contract with his
label and also asked them to directly pay the earnings to the
association of X JAPAN which the members of X JAPAN made.
(Since each member belongs to each label.)

I hope they don't disband again.

And the actress, Miki Maya, was chosen as the woman.
She used to be in the production called Takarazuka which run
musical shows only by girls. She was always acting male role.
After she left the production, she started her career as an "actress"
Believe it or not, lots of girls want to belong to the production and
dream of acting on the stage. And lots of people apply for the school
to be a part of the production. (since they must graduate from the
school if they want to act on the stage.)

She used to act male roles but it doesn't mean she looks like a guy.

13 year old kid passed the exam of weather forecaster

The successful applicants of the exam of weather forecaster that
was hold in January announced and Kazuya Yamazaki(13) passed
the exam. This exam has been held 31 times since 1994 and he
became the youngest person who passed the exam.

His parents say he has been interested in weather since he
was little. This was the 4th time exam for him and finally he
passed the exam.

This exam is known as a really difficult exam.
The rate of passing the exam is just 6%.

Googbye Ai Iijima...

On the first of March A farewell ceremony was held for a Japanese
celebritie, Ai Iijima(36), who died in Dec in 2008. Her friends,
celebrities about 700 people attended the ceremony to condole
on her death.

" We say " Beautiful women have short life"(a Japanese idiom)
you were exactly like this. You were Japanese Marilyn Monroe.
Ai-chan, your life was great. Thank you, We will See you again
someday." said one of her best friends, Hidemasa Nakayama,
as the representative of people who attended the ceremony.
After the ceremony, they have time for 1500 fans of her to
condole. The Koden(a Japanese tradition, condolence money)
will be donated for a institution to stop increasing AIDS victims
that she was working for.
